Shimmer Stack in Gold - £9.99
There’s something about MeMeMe that have always drawn me in. Their packaging is classy and feminine. Their cosmetics always go that extra mile, have that little extra feature that makes them different from the rest.
MeMeMe Cosmetics are sold in Superdrug stores around the UK. They describe themselves as a ‘loveable boutique brand’. The inspiration for the MeMeMe brand came from the Ancient Greeks. This can be seen in their names for example; ‘Goddess Eyes’. They create their products to the standard of the ‘best & most renowned cosmetic houses’, however put them at a price women can afford. MeMeMe have an amazing story behind them, that was just me shortening it, to read more click here.
The shimmer stack is a new product by MeMeMe, its a multi use product, which can be very handy. It can be used as a highlighter for the cheeks or brow bone, if you sweep a large brush over the whole palette. Or the individual colours can be used as eye shadows. I prefer to use it as a highlighter. The colours used individually aren't much use really. They add a little shimmer and a little colour.
Swatches of individual colours:
Anyway, this shimmer stack is more use as a highlighter. They do two more colours in bronze and pink (the colour I have is Gold). Bronze would be the most effective to be used as eyeshadows as it contains darker colours. Pink would make a blusher with a great shimmer, I'm considering buying this one!
Here's my cheeks before and after using the shimmer stack:
As you can see the shimmer stack really reflects light. You can only really see the shimmer when it catches the sunlight. It's really difficult to take a picture that shows the full effect. It's great for people with dull skin that want that little lift. It stays on all day easily, keeping your dull skin shimmering all day long. My only little complain is it's difficult to blend, it seems to go on in clumps, blend with your fingers after application to over come this.
For extra colour wear the Pussy Cat Tint under your shimmer stack.
Pussy Cat Cheek & Lip Tint - £5.25
When I look at this, I can't help but think of Benetint. My ultimate favourite product. This is so much cheaper as Benetint is £24.50. So I can't review this without doing a quick comparison to Benetint. The Pussy Cat Tint is much pinker than Benetint, you need a lot less as well. Pussy Cat Tint has a more intense colour, you only need one sweep. However with Benetint I need 3 sweeps. These products all in all are ridiculously similar for such a large price difference. I couldn't get a good photo to show the difference between the two, they look so similar when on your cheeks.
I use a foundation brush to apply this, put a sweep of the tint at the top of the brush and sweep across your cheeks. It lasts all day so easily! To be honest you'll struggle to remove it without a proper make up remover! This is just as good as Benetint. But a fraction of the price. The only thing is Benetint is easier to blend. Pussy Cat Tint tends to sink in so quickly blending is difficult.
Another before and after:
Both Pussy Cat Tint & Shimmer Stack
Now of course, MeMeMe isn't just for the cheeks, it's for the lips too (yet another multi use product from MeMeMe). So lets have another before and after:
I'm loving these multi use products from MeMeMe. Such great prices and quality. Let me know about your MeMeMe experiences or considerations? And do you like my new site? It's still a working progress!
