My giveaway is nearly over click 'here' to win some goodies. There are three prizes!
Good Things are a relatively new company. They're created by award winning writer Alice Hart-Davies. The products are based around what they call 'super fruit boosters', fruit ingredients which have great benefits for the skin. The products are designed for teenage skin but anyone can use them really, it's not about skin age, it's about skin type.
The products don't contain any; Parabens, Mineral Oils, Sodium Laureth Sulphate and Animal Ingredients.
I'd tried their facial polish, moisturiser and eye cream and loved them, I really wanted to try more. They recently had Good Things products half price in Sainsburys and I was in need of a face mask after finishing my favourite S&G mask.
I picked up Good Things 5 Minute Facial Mask:
This mask is part of Good Thing's anti-blemish range. It's designed to make skin clearer, brighter and smoother. It's a clay mask, so great for oily or combination skin, it also contains superfruits Avocado, Goji Berry and Willow Bark.
- Avocado - 'Rich in vitamins A, D, E and essential fatty acids, avocado oil gives a great moisturising effect as it is full of sterolins (plant steroids) which leave the skin feeling softer'.
- Goji Berry - 'Possibly the most fashionable of the superfruits, these are also a tonic for your skin as they both calm the skin with an anti-inflammatory action, and help energise it'.
- Willow Bark - 'A terrific, multi-purpose natural ingredient which is a source of beta-hydroxy acids including salicylic acid. That means it has an anti-microbial effect on the skin and is also slightly exfoliating'.
I didn't realise it had salicylic acid in until now! Salicylic acid masks are my favourite, Salicylic acid encourages the skin to shed, so unclogging pores and keeping skin radiant.
This mask is great for people with a busy lifestyle. You only need to keep it on for five minutes which is how long it takes for the clay to dry, a horrible feeling but well worth it for the finishing results.
This mask leaves your face feeling really clean. It's quite stripping so a good moisturiser is needed afterwards. I use this mask when my face feels oily and my pores feel clogged. It really helps my face feel clearer and the effects are instant. It leaves your skin glowing and radiant, making your skin look much healthier.
You don't need a lot of this product. If you use too much it doesn't dry properley. You only need a thin layer across your face. I normally apply a little more on my T-zone, but only a tiny bit more.
Overall this face mask is a bargain. It costs £5.99 for 100mL from Boots stores. It's also available at Superdrug and Sainsburys stores. If you have oily or clogged up skin, it's a life saver!
What do you think to Good Things Skincare? Will you be trying any of their products?

That mask seems really good value :)
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to say thank you for the Divine Cream samples, I have already started testing/reviewing and so far it is lovely :)
Obviously I have given you a mention and a link, I only have a few followers to share with but every little helps I suppose!
Thanks again :)

Angie, I know what you mean about when it's dried! It's a horrible feeling I hate it! Well worth it though.
ReplyDeleteScarlett, hope you enjoy your samples :D
I haven't tried any of these products yet but they are on my list. when it comes to washes/cleansers I avoid SLS like you mentioned in the Liz Earle review. so im always on the look out for products like this. i will have to try this brand very soon as i looks nice, the aim for teenagers put me off slightly as teenage products are usually aimed for greasy skin but i have eczema and dry skin. but im thinking its still worth a try!
ReplyDeleteYou might want to give the face mask a miss if you have dry skin. However they do have some great cleansers and moisturisers :D They also do a bodycare range :)
ReplyDeleteyeah might just try the moisturisers, but definately like the look of the brand!
