Urban Decay get Dangerous

I'm a huge fan of Urban Decay! I believe that no girl can have too many Urban Decay palettes. All their colours are so pigmented and they have such a range of colours, from very safe light colours to bright and bold. Their palettes normally have a great mix of colours so you can create so many looks. On a recent shopping trip I picked up the Dangerous Palette, it's so difficult to choose a palette, they have so many amazing ones!

This palette is slightly more bold than others as it is called 'Dangerous'. It has mainly quite dark, bright colours and one light colour perfect for blending. Still so many looks are available.

You get six shadows, an eyeliner in 'rockstar' which is a dark purple and the Greed primer potion which is the shimmer version. The shadows will last for around five hours without creasing. If you want the shadows to last all day, the primer potion will hold them in place for much longer. The liner is a 24/7 liner so will last easily all day. Their liners are amazing, I love them! If your looking for a good liner head over to Urban Decay.

The colours go together quite well bar the green and blue shadows. I haven't used the blue shadow yet as I'm not a huge fan. However I will try this one as it's a bold shadow and not a 'granny' blue.

(Greed, Rockstar Eyeliner, Haight, Mildew, Virgin, Oil Slick, Rockstar Shadow, Gunmetal)

Personally I'd say this is more of a night time palette than for a day look. I have used it a few times during the day. Mildew is my favourite colour and goes really well with my Urban Decay Covet liner. This palette costs £25 and is available from Urban Decay counters typically at Debenhams and House of Fraser.

Have you got any Urban Decay palettes? Or have you tried any Urban Decay products?

Batiste gets Wild

I hate greasy hair, it's a total pain, especially when your in a rush! However, there's no need to fret, Batiste are here to save our day!

If you live in the UK, no doubt you've heard about Batiste, probably the best dry shampoo available in the UK! If you don't live in the UK, you've probably heard about it too! Dry shampoos are designed to freshen up and de-grease hair between washes. You spray onto the hair, rub it in a little, then brush.

Batiste dry shampoos come in many forms. They have the original, dry shampoos for different hair colours, ones with shimmer in, different scents, the list goes on. They've now brought out another dry shampoo, called 'Wild'. It comes in a leopard print bottle, with a scratch mark down! So cute!

Please note: The leopard doesn't come with the dry shampoo! He was a little press gift and I think he's so cute. He goes perfectly with the bottle.

This 'Wild' dry shampoo is available in Boots stores only. It's described as having an 'oriental fragrance' for when your 'out on the prowl'. It smells much like other Batiste dry shampoos (which is a great scent), however it does have a hint of chocolate - gorgeous!

If you haven't noticed yet, this can is a new sized can. It's bigger than the original can which was 150mL, these new cans are 200mL, so you need to go on less dry shampoo runs!

Just to show you how good this dry shampoo is, I've taken before and after photos! Excuse the oily hair!

Before:

After:

As you can see, its a huge difference! And means my hair still looks good when it hasn't been washed! All this for £2.99, what a bargain.

Have you ever used dry shampoo? Which is your favourite make?

Disclosure: This product is a PR sample, however this in no way sways my opinion towards the positive side.

Elemis Bargain - Totally Gorgeous!

I love a good bargain. Especially when it comes to beauty products! While I was off uni ill, I watched loads of QVC and managed to pick up this total bargain. I work at an Elemis spa so realise how expensive the products are, and what good quality they are. I brought this whole set for £33.94 and £4.95 p+p. The frangipani body oil alone retails for £29.70, then you get a full size body wash and mini bubble bath and scrub. Such good value!

These products are all from the exotics collection. The best smelling collection in the whole of the Elemis range! It's simply gorgeous, the scent comes from the frangipani flower. It's so relaxing, it helps you drift away from every day life.

The main product in this set is the frangipani body oil. It's a 3 in 1 oil. You can use it on your body, hair and nails. It's really moisturising, so great for dry skin, nails and hair. You can use it like a hair mask and for the body just apply and rub in after a bath/shower or whenever you like. The oil solidifies at cooler temperatures, so around room temperature. One of my friends works at an Elemis counter, and she said so many people take the oil back saying it's dodgy! It's just how it works. If you put it in a sink full of hot water it will turn into an oil again. I normally stick it in the sink before by shower/bath then use it after.

It's the most moisturising product I've ever used. My skin always feels incredibly soft and smells gorgeous after using this. It doesn't leave the skin sticky either. It soaks straight into the skin, because it's an oil it doesn't form a sticky layer like a moisturiser does. It's the perfect product for dry skin.

The other full size product in this set is the 300mL creamy body wash. It smells of the frangipani flower, but no way near as strong as the oil. It's quite a discrete scent. It's lovely covering yourself in the gorgeous scent. However I wouldn't say it's very moisturising. If you compare this to Dove's Deeply Nourishing Body Wash, it doesn't moisturise much at all! I wouldn't buy this again I'm afraid Elemis, but there's no denying I love the smell and it's a great bargain as it retails at around £18.40 on it's own.

Here's the two mini products. A body polish and bath elixir (and for everyone else, a scrub and bubble bath!). They're both 50mL size, which is a good size. They both smell gorgeous too. The bath elixir doesn't really create many bubbles and the smell is very discrete after you've put it in the bath. You probably need to use quite a lot. The scrub is great! Smells gorgeous and scrubs well. A product i'd certainly buy again! The full size bath elixir retails at around £19 and the body polish retails at around £20.

Have you ever tried any of this Elemis range? Have you ever tried any Elemis products? What do you think to this set and the amazing price?

Disclosure: I brought this product myself. I do par-take in work experience at an Elemis Spa, however this in no way means I'll think more positively about their products.

November Feel Unique Beauty Box

Yes, I realise this box came out ages ago! I also normally do videos for the beauty boxes. However due to my lack of internet when I received the box, I never got round to doing this! I'm sorry for this, Glossybox will be a video again :), unless you prefer a written review? Views on this please? :).

So the Feel Unique Beauty Box for November was the party box. The festive season (eppp, my fave!), is often seen as the season to party. So Feel Unique have provided us with what they believe is the party essentials. One advantage of a late review is that I have tried some of these products so can tell you if they work.

My favourite product in this box is the Emma Hardie Amazing Face cleanser. It's pretty much Cleanse and Polish, it removes all grime and make-up at the end of the day. However the texture is much different. This has an oil-like texture, it comes in a gel-like form, and spreads across the face to feel like an oil. It removes make-up quite well, but costs so much! It retails at £34 for 100mL.

So why is it my favourite product? I wouldn't buy the full size. However Feel Unique have introduced me to my favourite facial cloth. The cloth isn't a typical muslin cloth. It's a proper cloth and is so so soft! It's much more sturdy than a muslin cloth, and makes your cleanser much more effective. So you can use a cheaper cleanser and it works great. These cloths cost £10 for three, which is great!

This is rather like a dry shampoo. It creates a matte effect and allows a little styling. I haven't used this yet as it seems a hassle. The powder is to be rubbed into your hands then onto your hair. Dry Shampoo is so much easier!

A self tanner for face and body. I don't use fake tan, not my cup of tea!

This product is different to anything I've seen before. It's a hair treatment but in a gel form not a conditioner form. Also it's not for dry hair! It claims to add volume to your hair, one thing I really lack in my hair. I can't wait to see if it actually works.

Perfume samples don't normally phase me. However this scent is just me! It's so sweet and yummy, I love it. I'm planning on buying myself the full size bottle at some point. Even though it's expensive it's worth it, the perfume lasts so much longer on your skin than many others do.

This shimmer dust is for face or body. You can use it how you want. I'm not to keen on the colour, however once it's sprinkled on the yellow isn't as strong. I'm not a huge fan of loose glitter as it gets everywhere.

Rather mixed feelings about this box. The products are all great quality and the box has been well worth £10. However there's a few of the products that I won't be using!

What do you think to this box? What's your favourite sample box?

All I want for Christmas is... a big fat L'Occitane gift set!

When the streets are filled with sparkling lights, people rush around with arms full of shopping bags, and beautifully decorated trees take over shopping centres. There's absolutely nothing I love more than Christmas! My family mean so much to me and getting together with family, exchanging gifts and eating yummy food makes the festive season so very special. Also my birthday is in December which makes it my favourite month of the year.

L'Occitane have boxed up amazing gifts to give out this festive season. They're so Christmassy they make me smile so much!

All the gifts come already wrapped in tissue paper and boxed in beautiful L'Occitane gift boxes. There are so many choices when it comes to gifts. Each L'Occitane range has it's own gift set. So there are many, many bodycare sets, skincare sets and fragrance sets. At the event we were allowed to choose a set for ourselves and it took me so long to choose!

One great thing about the gift sets is their price. L'Occitane have knocked all the prices down. So you pay much less for the set than you would if you brought the products individually. They're perfect presents for any beauty addicts!

L'Occitane have also brought out a limited edition range for this season. This range has to be their best smelling yet! And that's saying something. It's the Delice des Fleurs/Fruits range. The range consists of two delicious scents the Fleurs and Fruits scents. Like everything that comes out of L'Occitane this range has a great story behind it.

Again the scent comes from Provence in France. The fragrances were discovered by the L'Occitane Fragrance Merchant as he was walking through a little village called Tourrettes sur Loup (I googled it, it looks gorgeous)! He stopped in his tracks as he smelt the wonderful scents coming from a nearby sweet factory. This sweet factory used to be a distillery, distilling essential oils. So the scents are the gorgeous essential oils mixed with the sweet scents coming from the sweet production. L'Occitane have taken these scents and used them to create this absolutely amazing collection. I will be buying some of it myself so keep an eye out for a review!

I finally decided upon the Almond gift set. Which contains L'Occitane's famous Almond Shower Oil. I'll be reviewing this separately.

If your stuck for Christmas ideas this December head over to L'Occitane, they have amazing gifts suited to pretty much every budget!

Do you love Christmas as much as me? Will you be shopping at L'Occitane this Christmas?

Becca :) x

Disclosure: The event was an exclusive event for bloggers organised by L'Occitane and their PR. The Almond gift set was given to me for consideration.

Dr Murad brings us his new Hybrid range...

Like every other women, I'm always trying to become more healthy! Having the often self debate whether I should have to yummy chocolate bar or a 'good' apple. Dr Murad is the one man that provides the motivation to eat healthy. Dr Murad is a famous name in the wellness industry, his skincare range is only the tip of what he's done. His books will change your life, he pioneered the 'Medi-Spa' industry, which is becoming huge, especially in America. So how he finds time to do anything else I don't know! However, he's recently brought out his new 'Hybrid' range.

The Hybrid range is a make-up range, with a difference. It involves make-up products that provide instant results but also work with the skin over time to reduce the problems your trying to cover! This range involves two primers, a matte finish and dewy finish primer.

Very often primers are quite drying. I often find that primers cake on my skin and cause it to become dry. Both of these primers feel light and weightless on the skin. You won't notice you've got it on! They blend really well too. The matte finish aims to slow down oil production and provide a 'powder finish'. The dewy finish aims to produce a radiant glow and soften skin. Both of the primers aim to minimise pores.

The when you first apply these two primers, the can't tell the difference between the two. The matte primer doesn't go on really matte and the dewy primer doesn't go on very dewy, you can't really tell you've put any primer on at first. The differences develop during the day. As the day went on, with the matte primer my skin stayed matte much longer than the dewy primer. Having oily skin the dewy primer just made me look oily, so I'd recommend this one for dry skin only!

The one thing that really worried me about these is the colour. Having really pale skin I wasn't sure if the colour would be too much on my skin. However once I'd blended it properly it looked fine! The left swatch is the dewy and right is matte.

I have to admit, my skin does become oily near the end of the day or in hot conditions even when wearing the matte primer (on the tube for example). With the 'drying' primers I talked about earlier, my skin would stay matte for longer. So it really depends on if you can put up with the drying feeling or not. Personally I much prefer using these primers. I won't be using the dewy finish as it doesn't suit my skin at all, however I've used the matte finish every day since I got it!

The primers cost £27 each for 30mL pump bottles. You can buy them at - http://www.murad.co.uk/ or from Murad salons/stockists.

What do you think to the Hybrid range? Do you think make-up should be mixed and provide longer lasting results?

Disclosure: These products are PR samples, however this doesn't sway my opinion towards the positive side.

L'Occitane Christmas Gifts on QVC!

Recently, I came down with the flu *sniff sniff*, which meant my days consisted of watching various TV programs including QVC (probably too much QVC). Before moving into our new flat I hadn't watched QVC before so didn't realise that they sold L'Occitane products - my fave products! QVC is one of the largest shopping channels over here in the UK, and sells a lot of high end beauty products. Around a week ago they brought out a new L'Occitane gift set for such a good price I couldn't resist!

You get two hand creams of 10mL each. One of the hand creams if their original best selling product, and t;">
The gift set costs £27.48 and £4.45 postage and packaging. You receive the L'Occitane mini bag and ten products. Most of the products are trail size, except the soap and lipgloss.

You get two hand creams of 10mL each. One of the hand creams if their original best selling product, and the other hand cream is their Cherry Blossom scented hand cream, which sells totally divine! Also there's a 10mL foot cream.

You also get three of the L'Occitane Verbena products. These products can be used by males and females, as the scent isn't very sweet or floral and is favoured by mostly men. You receive a 75mL shower gel and body lotion. You also get a little soap. This isn't my most favourite scent, but it's a scent I'm slowly warming towards.

You receive two more little shower gels. One is the hugely popular Almond Shower Oil, which claims to leave your skin really soft and smooth after use, and it really does! I was disappointed about the size of this oil as it's only 35mL, however it is a quite expensive product. The other shower gel is the Cherry Blossom gel, which matches the scent of one of the hand creams. One of my favourite L'Occitane scents. This is a slightly more modest size at 75mL.

Then you get your two full size products. The Green Tea and Jasmine soap which is another scent that takes warming towards and the Pivoine Flora lipgloss. The lipgloss goes on clear and then turns pink. However I've not noticed it turning pink yet.

Then there's the little bag, which is so cute! I use it to store my L'Occitane face creams.

What do you think to this QVC gift set? Do you shop on QVC much?
