As my regular readers will know, I'm quite a Liz Earle fan. I probably use at least two of their products on a daily basis, my favourites being their Skin Tonic and Daily Eye Repair. Liz Earle products smell gorgeous, contain natural ingredients and seem to actually work. I've finally got around to trying one of their body products.
Liz Earle Energising Body Lotion:
Like many body lotions, this lotion smells totally gorgeous. Liz Earle always make describing the scent ever so difficult, they're so different to most other product scents. The best way to describe this scent is a musty orange, which is surprisingly nice! It is quite an energising scent, waking up the senses, perfect for the morning, also it absorbs quickly, which is great for the morning.
This lotion aims to tone and firm, a claim which I've seen many times. I've nearly used the whole tube now, and I've seen a little firming at the top of my thighs, nothing to drastic but what can you expect from a lotion? However, I will say that it is a lot more firming than a normal body lotion.
The moisturising properties of this lotion are rather average, if your looking for a lotion to battle dry skin I wouldn't recommend this one. It's moisturising enough for my skin as I'm not currently struggling with dryness, so I quite happily used this tube right up. I'd say this is a lotion for people looking for firming and energising more than moisturising, which is understandable considering it's called 'Energising Body Lotion'.
Overall, I really enjoyed using this lotion to wake me up in the mornings. However, I do use something more moisturising every so often.
Liz Earle Energising Body Lotion costs £17.50 for 150mL and is available 'here'.
What are your favourite Liz Earle products? Have you tried this product? Do you prefer firming or moisturising body lotions?
