I'm a bit of a skincare nerd. I own loads of skincare products, and use probably use about 50% of the products at least once a week. All of my products are for normal or combination/oily skin, yet I try my best to avoid harsh products that might cause early ageing.
No7 have recently re-branded their skincare products, bringing out some great new products and producing more attractive packaging. I couldn't resist, especially when Boots lure you in with £5 off No7 vouchers.
No7 Beautiful Skin Day Cream for Normal/Oily skin:
After recently diagnosing myself with oil face disease, thanks to eight for a wish for this term, I decided I should buy a moisturiser to help this. What really drew me towards this cream is the fact that it contains SPF 15, a lot of mattifying moisturisers normally miss SPF out.
This cream contains zinc, which absorbs oil, balancing the skin and preventing any break outs. What I really like about this is that it's very easily absorbed into the skin, so doesn't leave a greasy layer behind. I've found a lot of mattifying moisturises tend to dry out the skin rather than moisturise, I find this one really does help moisturise the skin, while helping to reduce the about of oil the skin produces. It keeps my skin healthy, and limits the amount of oil my skin produces.
The effects are not instant, I'd been using this cream for about a week before I saw any results. The effects still aren't drastic, I'd love to use to night cream too, this might help produce more results. Really happy with the results in all, I didn't want a drying effect, just a little helping hand. I'd say this is a pretty average product, nothing too special but does do a job.
No7 Beautiful Skin Day Cream costs £12.50 and is available from Boots stores and 'here'.
Have you tried any of this new range? Have you used any mattifying moisturises that you can recommend?

ReplyDeleteits the best packaging No7 have produced yet :)
DeleteI haveooed and ahhed over this range since it launched as it is just so nice and classy, plus I love the way it's arranged to help you work out your skin type and purchase accordingly. I can't recommend a good mattifying moisturiser, but I can sadly recommend one not to buy - Good Things Mattifying Moisturiser! Like you mentioned above, it dries my skin out rather than moisturising it, and I often feel like I need to apply more moisturiser soon after I use it. Once you've applied it, it soaks in quickly and then your skin feels a little tight. I always put this down to the mattifying part doing it's stuff, so I ignored it, but it has got to the point where it drives me mad that 20 minutes after applying it, I feel I need to moisturise again! Not the best product I've tried, so steer clear I'd say xx
ReplyDeleteI've always liked Good Things but never tried that product. Thanks for letting me know :D deffo think I'll be sticking with the No7 one for a while :).
DeleteMy mom got this as a gift, and it was really good. Nice to see effects take place in just a few days.
