Liz Earle Nourishing Body Cream

Way back in March now, I reviewed Liz Earle’s energising body lotion (as seen ‘here’). In this review I said how I liked to use a moisturising body lotion alongside this toning lotion, as I didn’t find the toning lotion moisturising enough for my drier areas of skin. So Liz Earle’s answer to this is their Nourishing Body Cream, a concentrated, deeply hydrating body cream. This body cream contains shea butter and avocado oil to help soften skin and orange, lavender and essential oils to create a beautiful scent.

Liz Earle have called this a cream instead of a lotion for a reason. It’s a good thick cream and takes a good squeeze to get a reasonably sized dollop out of the tube. The cream applies really easily as it glides across the skin and starts to absorb as soon as it's been spread across, it doesn't leave a greasy film either. I love to use this cream when my skin is feeling particularly dry, it does what it says on the tin, it nourishes my skin and rehydrates the dry areas. For the perfect combination, I use this on my lower legs and arms and use the energising lotion on my thighs and stomach to help tone.

I always find Liz Earle scents difficult to describe, they're all very gorgeous, but also very unique. The essential oils really shine through in this cream, it smells just like a little store in Belper (Derbyshire) that sells all sorts of essential oils and gorgeous candles. It has citrus notes, but mainly smells like a mixture of gorgeous essential oils. That's the best I can do when it comes to describing the scent really! This body cream is available from Liz Earle counters at John Lewis and other department stores and online 'here' for £16.75 for 200mL. This may seem pretty steep for a body cream, but it's the essential oils and all the good ingredients that Liz Earle use that generate a high price. I think this is a luxury cream rather than your budget day to day cream.

What do you think to this Liz Earle body cream? What's your favourite body lotion?

Disclosure: This is a PR sample, but my review is still 100% honest.
