As you know, I'm a HUGE L'Occitane fan! And nothing gets me out of bed in the morning faster than a delivery of new L'Occitane releases. L'Occitane have brought out two new lots of products at the beginning of this month, and I have one product from each launch to share with you!

I'll start with the Eau de Cologne launch. First of all, I had to google this so thought I'd share! Eau de Cologne is the least concentrated scented formulation with only 2-5% essential oils, with Eau de Toilette being 5-15% and Eau de Perfume being the most concentrated at 10-20%. So these Colognes aren't as concentrated but come in massive 300mL bottles. There are three fragrances overall, Eau Revissante (women), Eau Universelle (unisex) and Eau Captivante (men).

I have the Eau Revissante for women, it scares me. The massive 300mL glass bottle doesn't have a spray top, its an open top, which is super scary for clumsy people like me! I'd love to see L'Occitane bring out a spray top you can screw on, please!? I can just see myself knocking it while putting it on and the whole 300mL spilling over my floor. It also makes it really difficult to put on, especially as it's not the most delicate fragrance bottle. The fragrance itself is really refreshing, it's a mix of floral and citrus scents, it's a light refreshing scent for summer and is very delicate, not overpowering in the slightest. The fragrance doesn't hang around for too along after application, but with the massive bottle you can afford to splash a lot on.

Next, L'Occitane have added three new products to their Angelica range. The Angelica range is formed from Angelica (fancy that!?) essential oils, which, is used for its hydrating and toning properties, making it a range for skin on the dryer side. L'Occitane have added an hydrating mask, exfoliating gel and face mist to this range. I have the face mist, which is basically a toner in a spray can, it aims to refresh your face throughout the day it also says it can be applied for a long-lasting make-up finish.

I've been really enjoying this spray, and I have oily skin! It smells light and fruity and is ever so refreshing when your skin is feeling a little dull or tight. One tip, don't shake it. Being a can, I decided it needed a good shake before use, so wrong! It didn't spray out when I shook it, it just kinda, frothed out in a disappointing manner. Anyway, if you don't shake it, it sprays out in not to forceful refreshing way, perfect. I also love using this when my make-up starts clumping and feeling tight at the end of a working day, it really freshens up my make-up and surprisingly didn't make my skin oily! Love this stuff.

Overall: Very impressed L'Occitane! Gorgeous cologne but please sell a spray top to screw on! Angelica face mist is just fab for tried, stressed out or tight skin. Angelica Face Mist costs £15.00 and Eau de Colognes cost £37.00 for 300mL, available from L'Occitane stores, stockists and online 'here'.

What do you think to L'Occitane's new releases?

Disclosure: L'Occitane products are PR samples, but my review is 100% my own opinion and honest.

  3. Hi! I just started reading your blog today. Found it by accident which was lucky because I love it! :) Anyway, I work at L'Occitane and we DO have a spray pump for the cologne. They should have given it to you seperately to replace your cap with. I know this was a month ago you wrote this, but incase you still haven't gotten one, you should stop by your local L'occitane and tell them you didn't get a spray pump for your cologne and they should give it to you. If not I would even mail you one from across the pond lol. ~Kourtney (Louisiana,USA)

  4. I just discovered your blog by accident today which I feel is lucky because I love it! Just wanted to say that I work at L'occitane and we have seperate spray pumps we are supposed to give to each person for free when they purchase a cologne!!!! That way you just replace the cap with it. I am however in the USA. But you might want to check with your local store and see if they can give you one. Heck, if you'd like I could even mail you one cuz that is a bummer. :/
